A Flint man facing life in prison in a potential first-degree murder case pleaded to a lesser charge on his third day of trial. Rufus L. Russell, 45, of Flint now faces a July 28 sentencing before Genesee Circuit Judge Geoffrey L. Neithercut. Russell, who originally was charged with murder in the Sept. 23, 2005, stabbing of Chude W.
