Kennan M. DeWitt, Attorney and Mental Health Advocate

Up North. Driving up North with my 16 year old over the past weekend was priceless. We enjoyed the long drive and frequent stops, the loud music and laughter, the shared stories and even the silence together. We shared the driving, he insisted. After we arrived, we experienced the old cabin with few modern conveniences, the late night card games, the hunt for diners that served more than pasties, bonfires on the beach and wave-diving over 3 feet in Lake Superior. We hiked the Porcupine Mountains trails and witnessed Lake of the Clouds again. We drive further North to Houghton to tour the MTU campus, which was breath-taking. He took our picture together with our cell phones.
