A Detroit man faces life in prison without parole when he is sentenced in August for beating a man to death with a club after the two argued over who was going to sleep on a couch. Edwin Ford III, 18, was convicted of first-degree murder in the Nov. 16 death of Ronny Morris. Jurors deliberated for about eight hours over two days before returning their decision late Thursday.
